Culinary

Hello everyone! welcome back to my blog and happy new year 2015 for all readers. Right now I'm going to tell about food, and it's my favorite food. what about you ? do you like this food too ? I think you should try this food!

Yes It's RAMEN !
Ramen is a Japanese noodle soup dish. It consists of Chinese-style wheat noodles served in a meat- or (occasionally) fish-based broth, often flavored with soy sauce or miso, and uses toppings such as sliced pork (chāshū), dried seaweed (nori), kamaboko, and green onions. Nearly every region in Japan has its own variation of ramen, from the tonkotsu (pork bone broth) ramen of Kyushu to the miso ramen of Hokkaido

The reason why I really liked this food is because it is foods are spicy and satiating. I like to make it by myself with instant ramen or buy it from stores ramen like: Gokkana Teppan and Carts Ramen in the city of Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. Actually kind of ramen in Indonesian food is also available, which Mie or Noodles in English. Although the instant food is not good because of the preservatives in the food but the noodles really enjoy doing by my family.

HISTORY OF RAMEN
The origin of ramen is unclear. Some sources say it is of Chinese origin.Other sources say it was invented in Japan in the early 20th century. The name ramen is the Japanese pronunciation of the Chinese
Until the 1950s, ramen was called shina soba, but today chūka soba or just Ramen are more common, as the word  has acquired a pejorative connotation.
By 1900, restaurants serving Chinese cuisine from Canton and Shanghai offered a simple ramen dish of noodles (cut rather than hand pulled), a few toppings, and a broth flavored with salt and pork bones. Many Chinese living in Japan also pulled portable food stalls, selling ramen and gyōza dumplings to workers. By the mid 1900s, these stalls used a type of a musical horn called a charumera, from the Portuguese charamela) to advertise their presence, a practice some vendors still retain via a loudspeaker and a looped recording. By the early Shōwa period, ramen had become a popular dish when eating out.
After World War II, cheap flour imported from the United States swept the Japanese market. At the same time, millions of Japanese troops had returned from China and continental East Asia from their posts in the Second Sino-Japanese War. Many of these returnees had become familiar with Chinese cuisine and subsequently set up Chinese restaurants across Japan. Eating ramen, while popular, was still a special occasion that required going out.
In 1958, instant noodles were invented by Momofuku Ando, the Taiwanese-Japanese founder and chairman of Nissin Foods, now run by his son Koki Ando. Named the greatest Japanese invention of the 20th century in a Japanese poll, instant ramen allowed anyone to make an approximation to this dish simply by adding boiling water.
Beginning in the 1980s, ramen became a Japanese cultural icon and was studied around the world from many perspectives. At the same time, local varieties of ramen were hitting the national market and could even be ordered by their regional names. A ramen museum opened in Yokohama in 1994.

 HOW TO MAKE RAMEN

As you already know that made the instant food is not difficult, here are some steps how to make ramen at home
1. Get your favorite type of ramen. Use Samyang or Nong Shim, or any Korean brand for authenticity. Cheaper, thinner deep-fried noodle are not recommended. I prefer to use Korean ramen that this one also this ramen decorated kimchi and feels quite spicy

2. Boil about 2 cups of water, more or less if you like plenty of soup base or little.
3. (Optional) Add a pinch of garlic powder, pepper, chili pepper to water. It's used to make the noodles has a little tasty
4. Snap the ramen noodles in half and add them in with any leftover flakes, this makes it easier to stir and boil faster.
5. Add soup base and vegetables that come packaged after you put the ramen in.
6. Stir frequently. You don't want the flavor to bunch up in one place, or the noodles to get stuck to the pot.
7. Add anything you find that will be good to the ramen! Favorites are: Spam, cut-up hot dogs, dried salted seaweed, and egg. Also I love adding a squeeze of lime just to bring up the flavor of the broth a bit. Don't forget to add green onion; it gives the ramen a fresh taste.
8. Pour into a bowl, serve with meatball and enjoy with your favorite kimchi ramen.

This is my own homemade ramen ramen that might make you hungry, right? hahahahaha
